The price of War!

Fuel prices look set to rise across the UK, following indications from President Bush and Tony Blair that an invasion of Iraq may be imminent.

The US has been stockpiling crude oil for months and recently advised other countries to check their reserves.

Any assault on Iraq would disrupt supplies of oil and lead to increases in the price of crude.

Ray Holloway of the Petrol Retailers Association said he doubted suggestions that the price of a barrel of crude oil could double from present level of $25, but said price hikes would almost definitely follow more tensions in the Middle East.

Just more good news for us motorists, next they will blame the price hike on fags on an increase in the cost of breathing
